Followers of Philippines death-thrashers Absit Omen were treated to the release of a four-track demo entitled ‘Insolence’ recently, while waiting for the release of the band’s second album. The demo will surely be something of a sneak peek to the band’s second album, and this will definitely help the band’s supporters get a glimpse of how the next Absit Omen album will sound.

About

Absit Omen is a death/thrash metal band formed by Erwin and Glenn Mariano in 1992. After 4 years of activity in the 1990s and going on a long hiatus, Glenn revived the band with his former band mates from Mass Hypnosia – Karl Rosales on vocals and guitars, Mike Seitz on bass and Emman Tadena on 2nd guitar. Absit Omen is currently based out of San Mateo, Rizal in Luzon island, Philippines.They released their first album, “Brutal Conquer” in 2022. After Emman’s tragic accident which left him paralyzed from the neck down, he was replaced by Exitus front man Jay Orosa on second guitar.

The album was formally launched in a concert at Ruins Bar, Marikina in September 10, 2022 which also served as a benefit show for Emman to pay for his medical bills. The band has quickly gained a reputation as a ferocious live band, having been invited to perform at choice live shows in Davao and Manila in 2022 and Dumaguete, Davao (again) and Kuala Lumpur in 2023.
